State of the Republic (January 2047)

Greetings dear Comrades of the Soviet Republic and all followers or visitors. This is the beginning of our report about the state of Republic called New Hurmania in game Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic. My idea is to develop some kind of roleplay as we progress over time because this should be a long term series and I hope the waste update will not destroy it even we may have some issues or we can miss out on certain progress with our late game through skipping researches.

It was the beginning of year 2043 when I started to collect some information about the events in our Republic so I am just couple of years late with publishing this report. But I have other things to do and I am glad that I can play the game at least during weekend as I have a regular daily job and I have a business to run besides which takes my time during workweek because I am trading stock indices to raise money for all projects I want to do in future.

But now back the report.

In year 2043 we finally built our new oil field near Oliva and we will call it Plastoil as there will be a Plastics factory next to it to provide plastics for future electronics production chain in nearby area. In July we successfully started to pump first oil and in December the whole facility was finished and we started to move the oil by trucks to nearby train loading facility over the river in Oliva.

In the same year we successfully finished our road through Jachem a new town near our Chemical Production facility which we need to extend our chemical production. But it took another 2 years to get our first citizens there because we needed to build the whole support infrastructure (power, heating, water). But in January 2045 our first citizens finally moved into residentials in Jachem and we finished all the basic facilities there.

Then in June 2045 we were able to complete the construction of our new Cement plant in Blek. That means we do not need to import cement anymore and it took only half a year to fill the cement silo with 1400 t of cement capacity. It had a small side effect as now the distance of cement supply for prefab production is much longer and our prefab production dropped by about 15% year over year. But with additional cement trucks which we ordered in our small motor works we will be able to raise it up later.

The year 2046 was a year of further planning. We planned a residential district in Tywoole which will be able to accommodate about 2500 citizens. Besides that we continued to plan and add infrastructure in Metrodepov where we will have another small town to support metro construction, mining in Blek and a sewage treatment for Ilekta, a city we are planning to build for support of vehicle production, nuclear processing and much more.

Our vehicle production lines are planned and our railroad builders are closing the distance each month but without rails it would not make too much sense to have as we need primarily trains and the railway production line is a bit further. We also have some initial infrastructure ready in Ilekta with plans for main department store, and stadium, train and bus station, fire station and hospital. We still need to plan water infrastructure and the underground tunnels before we start adding plans for residentials.

Our republic has currently over 37k citizens and more and more tourist are coming to visit Rivrov from the west. Our main focus for upcoming years is to develop the Rivrov and Metrodepov area, build the coal production facilities in Blek, add some farming capacities and start construction of Ilekta together with vehicle production lines in Zettés. We are keeping a slow systematic step-by-step pace because I do not want to overexpand too fast even we have capacities to do so because we do not have too much reserve capacities for chemicals production and electronics production.
